| Personal Information Name: Milos Auran Nickname The Iron Wind Elf; The Pioneer of Progress; The Godchild (by those who witnessed his birth) Age: 40 Gender: Male Race: Elf Appearance Information Height: 1.50 m ~ 4'11'' Weight: 20 kg ~ 44 lbs Hair color: Ash-Blonde (extremely light blonde) Eye Color: Red Looks Image: - Spoiler:
Looks Description: - Spoiler:
Aryan, in the furthest sense. Although Milos is incredibly small for an elf, his overall appearance is archetypical, save for a few scars and a usually grim facial expression that conveys hostility before anything else. From his head to his toes Milos possesses the slender beauty that the Elvish people are known for. Taking from the top, his ash-blonde, long, flowing hair are the first thing that define his complexion. Going down to his knees, they are a mirror of his pride as well as his pursuit for beauty. During most public appearances he keeps them tied in two large braids that fall down his back, which can be counted as his appearance of choice. At times of peace and quiet he tends play around with his hair and make one bigger braid out of his hair. Or when boredom takes over, he actively tries out much wilder hairstyles, something that conveys his buried sense of adventure. Having his hair open however, is the state in which he feels the most comfortable. Flowing, long, glistening. As a pinnacle of beauty like he intended them to be. Albeit not wanting to adhere to the Elvish stereotype of vanity, as he does not like catering towards a negative image of Elves, Milos does. More than he would like to admit. He seeks beauty. And thus, he does not cut his hair. He takes care of it. For an Elvish male just as unusual as for a male of any race, but Milos does not wish for any impediments in his appearance, and especially not in his hair. Not being able to provide a proper reasoning as to why he behaves the way he does towards his headdress, it is most likely part of his revolting spirit that has ever since his teen years attempted to break through mediocrity and gender roles.
Below his hair are his just as light-blonded eyebrows. They are quite prominent, but not bushy or unkempt at all. Their tidy hairs are simply arranged broadly over his eyes, which more often than not is considered a beauty standard for female Elves. Although largely disregarded, there are some people who do pay excessive attention to that facet of the face and for those, prominent eyebrows are a symbol of a strong soul. For others, the eyes are the mirrors. And Milos' are a flashing red. Not uncommon amongst Elvish people, but together with his blonde flowing hair they make for a noteworthy appearance. His face is incredibly slender with the typical, somewhat feminine appearance that Elvish males often have. His mouth is somewhat small with sslender, lightly-colored lips out of which a relatively high but incredibly soothing voice is produced that can turn into a calamity if challenged. Striking, is a scar over his right that some people may consider a facial flaw. But scars are not ugliness to Milos. They are beauty. Scars tell stories of lifetimes, and thus he makes sure that the one on his eye is kept in a performing position.
From his slender neck his proportionally broad but gently rounded shoulders extend with his slim and toned arms reaching up to his hands that have incredibly feminine fingers. With seemingly the highest genetic accuracy, they round off of his palms perfectly. They might just be the most beautiful part of his body. Albeit feminine and thus relatively small, they do appear to be somewhat weak and fragile. For someone who strives for beauty however, they are a perfect feature of the body. From his shoulders rises his slim and toned chest with a big, although colorfully subtle, x-shaped scar located on his sternum. His upper body has just the ideal amount of roundness for a male to not seem too flat but still being a showcase of a man's aesthetic. Going along, his stomach and hips just barely have the abdominal muscles as well as a few light scars showing to make it seem the right amount of translucent without losing the mysterious touch about Milos' body. His slender back has toned shoulder blades, some scars as well and an intricately designed tattoo of magical origin. Overall, his back can seem incredibly androgynous if looking from behind. Of course, his hair often covers that part of his body.
From his slender hips his soft legs extend right down to the tip of his toes. With a gigantic thigh gap his gams are incredibly thin. They do however, not suffer in muscular build, they are just the result of having absolutely no fat in his body whatsoever and an Elvish body, in which muscles are unnaturally slim. His thighs rarely touch and his legs allow for incredible agility as they are just about the most flexible part of his body. His feet are quite small, not unusual for a man of his size, but just as androgynous and effeminate as his hands. In retrospect, his outer extremities are the most feminine part of his body. And with shoe size 35 (EU) ~ 4 1/2 (US) it is no wonder that he wears women sized shoes. Milos however does not take shame in it. He finds the status quo between male and female prospects of beauty the best showcase of the golden cut. As such, he finds androgyny to be something desirable, although he does sometimes wish he could be taller as height is always an indicator of elegance.
Milos' attire as an Elf of royal blood has always had an ostentatious vibe to it which only changed once he returned to Auran from his travels throughout Sosaria. In early years, he wore the robes and cloths that were freshly prepared for him every day. However, since his ventures outside of Auran he learned that appearance only reflects a very minor part of a personand the only look you can trust is the absolutely artless one. During his travels Milos went from possessing a bag of different cloths for days, to being only wrapped in bandages with a warm cloak swung over his shoulders. He has stopped believing fashion to be a form of belle or that clothes could express intention. Instead he thinks fashion is only able to represent what it is embedded with. As such, ever since coming back to Auran he has taken to the standard form-fitting Elvish armor of the military high command to not only showcase that he wishes to be part of the frontline but also that he as a figurehead of the royal family supports the Elvish military. As the first son of Auran he was required to chase expectations, and after seeing his unconventionally small body, he was dubbed a weakling with a future spent in bed. But after several presentations of his talent in magical arts as well as his superior intellect and the wearing of the armor in the aftermath of his return, he was quickly accepted as a fitting heir. The only feature that is somewhat personal about his attire are two iron daggers to which the two braids of his hair are tied. They appear to be a decorative preference, but they are actual weapons. Milos has learned to always have an emergency exit somewhere, and why not on his beloved hair?
tl;dr: He's a shota in armor.
Personality Information Personality Description: - Spoiler:
The Knight First and foremost, Milos takes pride in a lot of things. Especially in his heritage and race. His home and his family, his skills and his strengths, his intelligence and his acquired wisdom. There is nothing about himself or his friends he isn't proud of. He is someone who isn't afraid to show who he is and who he can be. He doesn't take jokes about Elves and hates it when people badmouth his race and their ways. His pride usually shows during speaking as he will often emphasize some sort of reference to Elves if given the opportunity. With pride in the elven heritage, Milos' sense as a warrior surfaces quickly. His conviction as the heir to the throne of Auran allows him to fight for the greater good of the Auran Kingdom. He is one of the first commanders of the Elven army, despite never having been directly employed in the military. Usually, members of the Elven royalty do not go into the military but stay in the world of politics, and thus above the arm of execution. But Milos has effectively managed to place himself into all parts of the Elven kingdom. He is both military commander as well as political leader, scholar, teacher, student and pays great amounts of contribution to the Elvish culture in terms of art, music and literature. All of this is part of his fight for the reclaim of Elvish supremacy in the most progressive sense of the term. He does not directly wish for war or conflict, but he puts the well-being of Auran above all else and has not stopped working towards progressing it a day in his life. The Pioneer Whilst the past age of Elves has not allowed for the vast majority of the populace to properly educate themselves, Milos has strayed from the way of the Age of Seclusion and managed to become an intellectual. He has a great amount of knowledge and is significantly balanced between theoretical and practical intelligence. He has a cartographic knowledge of all important places and cities, he knows of mountains, passageways and city-skirts all across Sosaria. Milos has also acquired a great knowledge of magic. Albeit being a natural in the field of wind magic as the wind spirits of the Elves blessed him with exceptional talent in those regards, he quickly hit his peak and continued his education, taking to amassing information and broadening his perspective in the confines of a personal library in the castle of Megaloprepiis. It didn't take long until he had a vast amount of prowess over elemental magic and quickly utilized it to expand his swordsmanship and fighting capabilities. However, once he followed his path of magic and swordsmanship to the end, Milos went on to study just about everything that his eyes fell upon. He is a magical scholar with an encompassing amount of knowledge over the most diverse fields of wizardry, but it doesn't end there. His general knowledge exceeds that of many. He has seen and experienced cultural diversity at first hand and is thus one of the pioneers of the new Elven Age of Progress. He has traversed the world in his younger years and thus has acquired a perspective so unconventional for an Elf living in the Age of Seclusion that he is counted as one of the most educated scholars in the Kingdom of Auran. He teaches many apprentices in both the Elvish military as well as the Elven academies and has made vast changes to the academic curricula of the past century through his position of political power, much to the dismay of his father who has always spectated the prince's life from a traditionalist point of view. But he has repeatedly proven that his ways don't fail which is why his father tolerates him as the heir to the throne and trusts that he may be someone who can lead Auran and the Elvish people into a new age. The Iron Will Milos' will is difficult to rival. If he wants something, he will get it. No matter what. That is his mindset. And unsurprisingly, he is strong enough to usually push right through to his goals. He has overcome many challenges in his life and his current strength of mind and spirit is the product. That is why he is currently one of the Elves' greatest assets when it comes to both internal and external dealings. He also stands against the past Age of Seclusion of the Elven societies. The general population of Elves has become too stump, slow and cautious in his eyes and that leads back to an entire century of apathy through a period of demoralization at the hands of his own family. And as such, instead of sitting in the safety of the Auran capital, he decided to make his way through the world in young years to take in and share the knowledge upon return, which came with an entire set of complications for a young, incredibly fostered and nurtured Elf. Contrary to the nature and attitude of his ancestors who greatly invested in rationality and calmness, Milos takes towards a more direct, passionate approach. He speaks with his heart between his teeth and intuitively. Whilst he may be incredibly intelligent, he had to be impulsive and unconventional to become so. As a prince of the Auran royalty, it was his duty to live up to tradition and continue to lead the kingdom the way his father had done so. But once Milos was able to understand the profound thoughts that were constantly nagging his mind, such as why his ancestors would actively seek out conflict with nations invested in economic partnership and growth, or why the royal family bowed down to the whims of false gods and lost wars subsequently secluding themselves from the world taking an entire nation with them, Milos stopped listening to his parents and let his passion dictate his actions. He soon after left the kingdom against the will of his father and ventured out into the world to see for himself what his ancestors' adversaries were made of. There he faced many complications which after the journey's end, bore an Elven will that produced so brilliant ideas to improve the Elven status quo, that his insubordination was forgiven and he was quickly called the next King of Auran by the people, forcing his father to accept and tolerate the voice of a nation. The Heart of Steel Over the years, Milos has turned into a cynic. The dozens of hardships he had to endure during his time alone, out in the rest of the world have turned him into an extremely mistrusting and grim person. The injustice and the violence he saw and experienced first-hand on himself have made him incredibly unforgiving. Quite obvious during political dealings, he is not someone who debates decisions or forgives incompetence. Although he knows how to relax and can very well have a good time with friends, he is consistently serious and doesn't like to mess around and have fun during times of work. When he doesn't have duties or obligations however, he likes to spend his time dilly-dallying around and simply watching the sea or the fields around the Kingdom of Auran, wishing to find inspiration for future ideas to improve the state Auran is in. He doesn't enjoy other-racial company too much, but there are times in which he will leave the borders of Auran to traverse the seas in search of contact to other species. He does not want to rust, he wishes to stay in touch with the world's changes. And thus, he takes to traveling, at times alone but mostly with trusted companions by his side. Overall, his interactions with people of other races burn down to necessity. He doesn't have any real friends outside of Auran, save for a few exceptions that have shown kindness to him during the years of his first journey. He has kept his royalty a secret from the most of those people though, and likes the idea of casual relationships with at least a handful of distant acquaintances. All others usually only get a cold shoulder and need to prove themselves worthy to him before he would ever invest into them or commit to favors. This might seem as something arrogant, but he simply does not want to waste his time with people that would not appreciate it in the end. Which, in his eyes, would be the majority. And as someone who is busy with leading a nation in stead of a dulled down father who can't seem to see the position of Auran with the right eyes, who can be mad at him for spending the spare time he has on things that have more substance than chasing after might haves and could haves. The Spiteful Whilst showing a cold shoulder to people he can't see benefits in might seem arrogant, it is just the bottom of the iceberg. With pride comes arrogance. And this is especially true for Milos. He is extremely arrogant. Not as much to his own kind, and especially towards other kingdoms and races. If a human would want his help, he would need full information and good reason to help. He doesn't like assisting most any race, and especially not the Baraka. Their spirit of passiveness and their ages of neutrality are signs of convictionless, soulless people to him. He can't bring himself to truly trust any of them. And whilst he doesn't bare any superficial hate against any specific race, he simply believes that the societies of other races are unable to facilitate what he has in mind for the future of Auran, especially in terms of political progress. He has also never seen the same level of passion and appreciation for beauty in other kingdoms, which, in his eyes, does tell quite a bit about the socialization and education in other kingdoms. Auran has always been a cultural capital in all fields of art. Even in times of war, the highest forms of crafstmanship, literature and music emerged from Auran and spread out into the world. This has not changed, even in the Age of Seclusion. Auranian art has always found its way across the globe. Next to the fact that his arrogance takes many facets, Milos can also be incredibly hateful. He can bare grudges over decades. If you have stepped on his toes, he is not easy to forgive you. He is able to hate people down to their very core. If he sees injustice, he will judge it with a burning passion that is unrivaled. He will call people out on their mistakes. This often makes itself noticeable in the fact that he will always bring some sort of slur that is in some sense aimed to provoke its target and trigger reactions. Evident in that is that Milos is not someone who goes easy in any aspect of life, it being nowhere clearer than in his hateful side. Once he has deemed you crude and despicable, that will probably stick around for the next few years until you actively redeem yourself. Although it is not easy to tick this side of him because circumstance often prevents him from letting his heart walk before his mind, when it does trigger, it will leave its marks in one way or another. In summary, Milos is an Elf who's heart is sitting in the right spot but has a few scars from the past. His eyes have seen what the world is about and his gut is pointing him into one direction only: forward. His ears listen to their surroundings while his face points straight down the road he has paved for himself. With his talent, self-taught skill and knowledge he acquired over 4 decades of living he plans to push Auran and the Elven race ahead of him. He is an Elf with ideals and a plan that doesn't give importance to the small things in life. Milos loves to pick a pile of something to do and do it whole rather than picking it apart in its individual pieces. He perceives beauty as something achievable, as a status quo and as something that needs to be preserved, and he values strength as something that comes from the heart. Milos means passion above all. “The Elvish mission in life is not to survive, we have proven to being able to do so during the Age of Seclusion. Just like in the past, our mission is to thrive, but to do so with passion for the world around us, instead of with hate for those who oppose us. We have had a century of patience, a history of will to conquer, and it is time to reclaim the strength we possessed in the more glorious days of Auran. As long as we begin to stop resting on the intention of peace of other nations and produce ambition, the Elvish populace can reach for the stars once more. We are a peoples that have dedicated lifetimes to the progress of our community, and I am ashamed that we have stopped. With me, begin to move forward once more. Into a future in which Auran will shine in a new light.”
Milos is incredibly passionate, and in a sense that is the one word that would describe his philosophy. He lives with passion for Auran and the Elvish people. He will not lay rest until their status in the world is rehabilitated and the Age of Seclusion can officially be called over. He wishes to reconnect Auran politics with the rest of the world as well as seize outdated traditions of hailing to past gods such as the True Sosarians and finally finding strength in racial pride. And Milos pursues these goals with passion. His philosophy is to progress through desire. He is willing to throw himself and the lives of people who stand in his way into the dirt to achieve what he dreams about and believes to be a righteous cause. That is his philosophy.

Stat Points: 3500 Base + 500 Beta Perk + 100 (+200 in flight) Speed via Wind Spirit origin

Milos' combat style can not be considered a combat style in its entirety. As the Prince's fortitude lies in the manipulation and control of mana in contrast to physical strength, the actual physical combat is greatly reduced in comparison with the regular sword-user or archer. His focus lies on the use of blades. He has mastered swordplay after hours of practice, having created his very own sword-style based largely off of both Amani and Elven principles.
To start off, Milos does not use regular blades. They would be too heavy for him to wield efficiently. His strength is not great enough to pull along the swordmasters of the world. Instead of wielding regular blades or blades with his bare hand, he has found a multitude of methods to avoid carrying heavy weaponry in his bare hands. His just recently crafted signature weapon is an almost weightless, body-linked, four-bladed sword that is sealed into his body from his back. By simply activating the seal, four big black blades will extend that he can control through both the moving of winds back and forth, as well as through the minor manipluation of metal inside these blades as well as the primary method of moving them around, treating them as parts of his body and simply allowing them to move with his mind. (more about the sword in the fitting section)
With this unique blade and his ability to fly, Milos is an incredibly dangerous opponent in close combat. The large broad-blades move at great speeds and dont allow daggers or knives to come too close to his body. They can even extend to attack at medium range, and despite being nearly weightless their cutting power is extremely high and the pressure with which the Elf can make them pound down onto the ground is immense. Overall, Milos uses his speed, his unique blade-structure as well as mana-related abilities to be a completely lethal opponent in close-combat, forcing his adversaries to move to a medium range where he can unleash the full potential of his Mana Style that can wreck entire armies on its own.
Additionally, Milosis able to access the ferrokinetic control of blades he himself can create. This aspect of his combat is limited again, mostly by his mana as he again does not use his bare hands to attack but uses swordstyles from a distance through ranged control of swords, enabled by his affinity for the element of metal. As such, Milos's Combat Style is largely dependent on his Mana Style. But overall, it is showcased through the mastery of sword-combat. Mana Style: - Usage of Specialties:
Elemental Magic: Wind – The element of wind is likely the prince's greatest strength. It is his primary token of strength and all of his signature as well as strongest abilities derive from the complete mastery of this element. There is nothing Milos does not know about Wind Magic and there is nothing he couldn't do with Wind Magic. It is his primary element and serves as his main offensive tool. He extends the reach of his blades with wind, he creates tornadoes, he can carry more weight through this than with his actual body. Overall, wind is his tool, his method of getting around. It serves as an extension of himself. Blessed with the power of Elven wind spirits, Milos's proficiency with this single element serves as a basis for every other skill or ability he possesses.
Elemental Magic: Metal – The affinity for irons and ores was discovered during his attempt to wield blades on par with true swordsmen. Thus, it largely manifests as exactly that. The creation, manipulation and general control of blades. But much like the element of wind, Milos has learned to utilize metal in the similar manner of treating it as a tool of a wide spectrum. Whilst the main use is for offense, Milos knows more than enough ways to use it as a defensive tool implementing his medical knowledge and how mana can be distributed throughout the entire body.
Elemental Magic: Earth – The component of magic he studied before discovering his affinity for metal. Dropping his studies of the element once he discovered his affinity for metal however, Milos only acquired the necessary knowledge on Earth. It is far not as proficient as his primary and secondary element. It is more, an element he resorts to for its useful, quick defensive and tactical capabilities. As such, you could speak of it having a most supportive function instead of being the all out defense it has the potential to be.
Elemental Magic: Water – Although Milos has always been quite proficient in the usage of water, his usage of it has limited itself down to an offensive support, aiding his Wind Magic in its strength. However, through his affinity for this element the Elf's control of it has always exceeded normal proportions. He can draw water from the moisture of the air, from the roots of nature from the earth below allowing for mastery over a single aspect of water magic. The ability to draw water from the surroundings. Also utilizing it for minor healing properties, this element is extremely high up on the usefulness and potential scale. Because of Milos's proficiency in this regard, he dares to dream what a master over Water Magic were able to do.
Elemental Magic: Fire - Ah yes, the most destructive element. The element known for its passion, its fury, and its power. Fire magic is something Milos always admired. Combining it with his Wind Magic, Milos has the capability to create devastating explosions of massive range, allowing to unleash true destructive potential through the usage of Wind Magic. Additionally, Milos has found that imbuing wind techniques with stored fire, and even inscribing his sword with sealed fire over sealed wind, that it can create far more lethal techniques than his Wind Magic alone could ever reach. Because of its power and the passion it reflects, fire is likely Milos' favorite element. Although, because it was not necessary to study for his appreciation of the sword or a natural talent like his Wind Magic or even his proficiency in Water Magic, his Fire Magic is mastered, but not perfected.
Medical Magic: Healing - By imbuing primarily wind but also water with healing magic, Milos has ever since been able to become an incredibly gifted combat healer. Banking into medical magic and its knowledge ever since he found out about his heritage, Milos has become unexpectedly interested in the field and has been a master in the field for a while now. Primarily, he uses his medical magic for healing, as already mentioned. Basic wounds, even critical ones, scratches, bruises, concussions, mental pain, strain from stamina or mana consumption, or resetting dislocations or fractures. Overall, there is nothing Milos can't do with healing magic related to techniques. He is a master at it and is able to even imbue it into his Wind and Water Magic to regain Mana and Stamina.
Medical Magic: Support - Through extensive knowledge of the body and its functions, Milos has been able to passively influence the structures and execution of several techniques allowing them to become supported by subtle, but often devastating changes to their appearance. Additionally, he is able to utilize defensive techniques such as crafting metal into his own skin to block strikes, allow for inscription onto someone's body, and even the morphing of bodily components to his own advantage. Overall, his medical knowledge has made him into a gifted doctor, especially for quick emergency deployments and the tending of wounds.
Inscription Magic - Inscription Magic is the art of crafting seals through the use of runic language and other Sosarian symbolisms to both both seal and unseal them. Additionally, even crafting of seals to achieve desired results and imprint the creation of something into an item, similar to an enchantment, but transferable and erasable. In essence, an inscription is something manipulable whilst an enchantment is not. Milos has mastered all forms of inscription. Both sealing and unsealing as well as imprinting are all things that he knows his way around. Usually utilizing the knowledge of medicine or elements he crafts intricate seals to achieve desired effects. Through this mastery, he has crafted a seal on his back that allows for a weapon to be imprinted into the user's very body.
Enchantry – To enchant is the art of permanently imbuing just about anything in this world with magical properties to affect it both positively or negatively. Milos has not mastered this form of magic yet as he finds it incredibly difficult for him. Whilst he has been able to enchant living beings through his medical understanding of them, he finds it incredibly difficult to enchant objects. As he found, one needs to know about the object in every aspect of its being to make an Enchantment truly capable. Thus, enchanting is not one of Milos's fortitude when compared to the rest of his masteries. However, being the smart mind that he is, he tried to undergo the path of direct enchantment and created portable Enchantments. Small marbles that are able to be activated and transferred onto himself or even an object, but only for a limited amount of time.
- Complete Styles:
Diverse. If there were a word to describe them precisely. Milos's mana style is a seamless combination of four major personal styles incorporating, Wind, Metal, Earth, Fire and Water, Medical and Inscription Magic to create a devastating fighting style that has bested armies and rivaled dragons. Taking several elemental masteries, a medical knowledge that has been product of years of research, and runic writings that are innovative enough to be called genius, the Prince of Auran has created an array of Mana Styles that are unique, recognizable and revered amongst the military of Auran. Whilst he has not had the need to portray his capabilities outside of his own kingdom, rumors about his strength have traveled by word of mouth through the world.
Personal Styles: Spirit Arts – Spirit Arts is the style under which the prince has summarized any and all abilities based on the perfection of his Wind Magic. Anything from simple things like creating gusts of wind to causing explosions by storing fire in pockets of air letting them explode shortly after, anything that is based on his ability to control wind to a perfect degree has been created under the mantel of Spirit Arts. Additionally, Spirit Arts also describe the minor elemental techniques he created before his discovery of his exceptional mastery over the wind element and his affinity for the element of metal.
Personal Styles: Blade Arts – Blade Arts is the style under which Milos summarizes anything pertaining to his mastery over the element of metal. The name is a derivative of the fact that the primary aspect of Blade Works is the creation and manipulation of blades through mastery over metal. However, that is not all Blade Works is capable of. It is the general manipulation to the most accurate degree, that allows the Elf to even do such things as reconstitute the metal inside of his body through combination with his medical knowledge. Additionally, his mastery over Metal has almost completely voided the necessity of using Earth Magic. He is capable of manipulating Metal to the same extent as Earth to produce similar effects, only that Metal is that much better. But because he knows that you can never be too careful, all of Milos' Metal techniques come with an Earth Magic alternative.
Personal Styles: Runic Arts – Whilst the art of Inscription comes in many different forms and appearances, the Elven way of Inscription is the usage of Runes to achieve certain effects. Elven Runes, to be precise, are the product of decades of ancient perfection to create a language through which mana can flow. Thus, Runes are actually a written language that can be written and understood, but the language itself can be imbued with mana. Different words achieve different affects once imbued with mana, is the basic gist of the Elvish way of Inscription. Not only has Milos mastered this way, but he was heavily influenced with the Barakan methods of Inscription during his travels through Aquar. They use signs that represent different aspects of nature. Having combined these two ways to achieve more complex, diverse effects than any run-of-the-mill Inscription Mage, Milos can be called a genius in that field. However, not having fully mastered it as it requires horrendous amounts of studying, comprehension and experimenting, he is still on the way to become a true master.
Personal Styles: Healing Arts – Healing Arts is anything and all that relates to healing. Whilst many effects that are enabled through his understanding of Medical Magic, they intentions and outcomes usually fall into one of the other three of his personal styles. Healing Arts is likely the simplest and most one-sided form of his styles. However, it is likely the most potent one. Because of his heritage and genetic makeup, Milos's healing capabilities are far above average and have apparently allowed him to have an understanding of medical sciences that is unrivaled in all of Auran. He is, in a sense, one of the best doctors in the Elven kingdom, who would be able to perform surgeries with his incredible healing properties that the medical community could only dream of. But since his way has taken him into politics, medical magic is largely self-applied and only regards the imbuing of Healing magic into other elements to achieve larger and better affects. As such, the Druid Medium's body ages at an incredibly decreased rate and allows for healing magic to be much more potent, without the user ever being aware of its subtle benefits.
The Druid Blood can result in something called the “Druid State”. This is a self-activating, life-preserving function of the Mediums body that, once triggered, will grant the Medium an incredibly high form of regeneration. Once a state of near-death is reached, or the state of death is rapidly approached through blood loss or an incredibly fatal wound, the Druid Blood will activate immediately and the Medium enters a state of trance. In this state any and all wounds, mental or physical, internal or external will heal as the Medium's hair turns completely snow-white and feathers will sprout over physical wounds as well as wing-like structures forming from the Medium's back and along the arms up to his hands.
After the user is brought back from sure death, he can stay in this state as long as he pleases and will receive a 100 stat boost to Control. Additionally, any and all wounds he will receive will be immediately covered up through the Druid State at a cost of 10-50 mana, depending on the size and depth of the wound (think of it as 10 mana per class damage the wound was created from). Once 7 posts without receiving any wounds pass, or the Medium toggles it off by himself, the Druid State ends.
Whilst the Druid State in itself is an incredible wonder and specialty in itself, it doesn't end there. The Druid Medium is able to transfer the powers of the Druid State onto people who are close to dying by sharing a great amount of blood with them. (By a great amount I mean a lot. He would literally have to cut his wrist open and either pour a bunch of it into an open wound or into a person's mouth.) This will both allow the person who the blood was shared with to enter the Druid State, healing all fatal wounds, as well as the Medium since his body will enter a life-preservation mode from the blood loss. Entering the Druid State by sharing blood greatly decreases all functions and effects and usually ends right when the target's wounds are healed.
Once the Druid State's end has been reached, the Medium can not re-enter the Druid State for the remainder of the thread as well as future threads (about 2-3 threads).
PS: Burning off half of his face, decapitating, splitting his torso from his legs or any other OHKO's obviously do not allow this to activate.
PPS: Reaching zero mana does not activate this state.
Name: Multitasking Class: 2 Type: Passive Description: Multitasking is a relatively basic ability that comes with sentience and awareness. However, the extent to which someone can do this varies among individuals, not specifically pertaining to any race in regards to potency. In Milos' case, he is an incredibly gifted multitasker. He has made use of this in combination with his incredible mana control. He is able to use a near unlimited amount of mana at any one given time (up to 6 techniques in one post).
Name: Diplomatic Immunity Class: 3 Type: Passive Description: Diplomatic Immunity is a special ability that is only active amongst a special species in Sosaria. Politicians. Politicians who have achieved a great amount of power automatically gain Diplomatic Immunity. What this means is that, as long as they are in a country that is friendly to their own country, they are able to be complete dickheads to anyone and anything without ever being able to be touched. Should someone to a Politician with Diplomatic Immunity, they will likely get snatched up by the federals and put into custody for a while, thus making for some inconvenience, especially for the common citizen. This is especially effective against common citizens who are dissatisfied with a Politician who possesses inherent Diplomatic Immunity, as they are not allowed to touch or speak to them. Thus, often taunting, provoking and causing anger amongst people of other countries who protest a Politician's way of life.
PS: This power is not active in kingdoms their kingdom is not allied with or neutral regions. A politician thus always needs to pay attention in what geographical region he currently is. It happens that you can hear some less-intelligent Politicians call out “Do you even know who I am!?” when in places where this special ability has no meaning. Weaknesses:- Spoiler:
Name: Blood of the Druid Medium Class: 1 Type: Passive Description: The Druids were a physically extremely weak race, which is why they adapted to the requirements of nature and turned into the Elves which possessed much more natural strength and physical prowess than Druids had ever been able to hold. As such, the Druid Medium is sadly taken aback to that state of physical weakness and has a body, much more fragile than that of the usual Elf. The Druid Medium is lighter than he looks and as such, prone to being knocked back by force with incredible ease. Additionally, he is easy to be wounded with swords often not needing to be sharp to cut his flesh. Lastly, the Druid Medium is not able to perform physical combative techniques because it would put a much too great strain on his muscular build.
Additionally, using too much mana at once puts a strain on the user's body. Although the druid's intellect and control of mana was far above those of other races, the control of their bodies was not. Whilst they possessed incredible healing powers aching to that of gods, their bodies were more like those of a child's. Their mana consumption was great, and although their mana pools were as well, it often put a strain on their bodies because they were just that weak. Their stamina became exhausted, the more mana they consumed permanently. Thus, using more than one technique in a post will cost the user 10 stamina per technique. Combining techniques costs an additional 10 stamina.
Name: Political Responsibility Class: 3 Type: Passive Description: The Political Responsibility is a weakness of all of the members of the Politician species. It implies a constant, nagging voice in the back of a Politicians head that tells them abusing positions of power is a bad thing. More often than not, this can lead to depression and alcoholism, destroying the lives of Politicians to a dozen every year. Often, Politicians end up being miserable people because they were not able to handle their respective positions, making the constant, nagging voice so loud that they lost all sense of integrity and personality. If a Politician should succumb to this weakness, he will have an incredibly shitty life. If he is able to handle it, then this weakness won't affect him in the slightest. Techniques: - Class 4:
Name: Spirit Arts: Retract Class: 4 Type: Mana Sub-Type: Hybrid Specialties: Elemental – Wind Availability: Open Requirements: Control (400) Description: This technique allows the user to inherently manipulate the flow of wind in his direct vicinity, enabling him to evade most projectiles as long as he is aware of them by moving them around his body. Additionally, he is able to minorly influence even close combat attacks with this technique to move them away from his body. Especially potent against wind resistance, this technique is incredibly useful for its basic and subtle applications. Wind Spirit bonus: When manipulating the wind around himself, he automatically controls the wind around an object, or even perhaps a limb. The user is able to rend that object or limb with cutting winds to deal damage. Training: 250 Cost: 30 Mana
Name: Spirit Arts: Assault Class: 4 Type: Mana Sub-Type: Hybrid Specialties: Elemental – Wind Availability: Open Requirements: Control (400) Description: An incredibly simple attack that functions by simply swinging one's arm and infusing a set of air with your own mana causing it to gust forward to create an onward gale that slows the opponent and can offset the movement of any airborne projectiles. This technique functions at a near instantaneous rate and can be cast almost continuously. This technique moves at the user's Control Stat translated into Speed Stat and is a 5 by 5 meter wall of wind that has a movement range of 10% of the user's Control Stat. Wind Spirit bonus: Anything caught in this blast of air will receive rending cuts. Anything organic is prone to this damage, however it can even leave its prints on stone. Training: 250 Cost: 30 Mana
Name: Runic Arts: Zero Storm Class: 4 Type: Mana Sub-Type: Support Specialties: Inscription; Elemental – Wind Availability: Open to anyone with knowledge over Elven Runes Requirements: Control (600) Description: The user imprints a set of Runes upon himself that instantaneously upon activation removes oncoming wind resistance by preemptively letting air around the user flow around him enabling him to move or fly with little to no resistance, raising his speed by 10% of his Control Stat. This inscription lasts until removed by someone with equal or higher control than the user removes it, or it is destroyed. Training: 350 Cost: 30 Mana
- Class 3:
Name: Blade Arts: Iron Hide Class: 3 Type: Mana Sub-Type: Defensive Specialties: Elemental – Metal; Medical Availability: By Request Requirements: Control (1000); High knowledge of the body Description: This technique requires an extensive knowledge of the location and production of bodily carbon. This technique allows the user to utilize that knowledge and rearrange the carbon inside his body to make his skin as hard as steel and incredibly resistant to being pierced, sliced, cut, diced. Not only does this technique allow for incredible defense, but it also allows for located defense. This technique can be focused on just about any part of the body to make it that much more effective. Training: 500 Cost: 50 Mana, 10 Mana per post upkeep.
Name: Spirit Arts: Ignition Storm Class: 3 Type: Mana Sub-Type: Offensive Specialties: Elemental – Wind, Fire; Inscription Availability: By Request Requirements: Control (800) Description: This is a technique that works in conjunction with Fire and Wind Magic. The user pours his Mana into surrounding air and creates pockets that he instantly infuses with large amounts of Fire Magic. He then instantly seals these marbles with a Rune that can be translated as “Wind Seal”, allowing for wind to create barriers around other things without letting them out. Thus, the user created small explosive marbles. With every activation of this technique, the user is able to create up to 5 marbles. These marbles, when coming into contact with something of a higher density than itself (which is anything harder than a pillow), they instantly explode in a 7 meter radius, creating high damage within a short span of time dealing burning damage. These marbles can be continuously created at a certain cost. Wind Spirit bonus: Upon impact, the encased wind is released and is able to cut targets in a 1 meter radius Training: 500 Cost: 50 Mana
Name: Runic Arts: Weightlessness Class: 3 Type: Mana Sub-Type: Support Specialties: Elemental – Earth, Wind; Inscription Availability: Open to anyone who has studied Elven Runes Requirements: Control (500) Description: This is a somewhat basic principle of Inscription magic. The user imprints a set of runes and symbols upon an earthen or iron object and forcibly alters its density to become less than it initially was, simultaneously sealing a large amount of air into it, causing almost any large object composed of earth and metals to suddenly become near-weightless. Large boulders can become as light as a hand-sized rock and able to be pushed away by wind magic or even carried with ease. Although the principle is basic, mastery over Earth and Wind Element as well as complete mastery over Inscription Magic has to be present. This can seal the weight of objects up to the user's Control Stat in kg. This technique causes an object to lose 95% of its initial weight. This can be cast upon any kind of objects, and the seal can only be removed by people with complete Inscription mastery. Training: 400 Cost: 50
Name: Healing Arts: Element's Blessing Class: 3 Type: Mana Sub-Type: Support Specialties: Medical; Elemental – Wind, Water Availability: Closed Requirements: Control (200); Blood of the Druid Medium Description: This is a unique and useful healing technique, enabled through the blood of the Druids flowing through the user's veins which boost healing effects. It allows the user to imbue either wind or water with healing effects, subsequently causing elemental magic to heal the user if applied onto his own body. Covering himself with water or wind specifically will regenerate the user's body if surrounding him. When breathing in heavily, up to 25 stamina can be regenerated every post this technique is active. When surrounding himself with water, even deep flesh wounds can almost instantaneously be closed and healed. Overall, this technique is an incredibly useful consistent ability that allows for wounds to heal and stamina to be regenerated. Training: 300 Cost: 50 Mana Duration: Techniques in the following 4 posts are imbued with this ability Cooldown: 4 posts
- Class 2:
Name: Spirit Arts: True Void Class: 2 Type: Mana Sub-Type: Offensive Specialties: Elemental – Wind Availability: By Request Requirements: Control (1100) Description: This is an incredibly difficult wind technique that requires control before mastery over elements in every case. By holding out an arm and opening your palm, concentrating mana into the palm of the user's hand, this technique creates a zone in a range equal to 2.5% of the user's Control Stat in meters. By consistently decreasing the amount of air in the atmosphere, causing it to collapse into the user's hand in a near instant, he also prevents new air from coming in by keeping it locked out. The acquired air will be in the user's control in form of a small white marble that follows him around and consistently gives him air to breathe. Adversaries will be prevented from breathing as the user keeps air from entering the zone. Only those with a higher Control Stat than him are able to retrieve air from outside the zone. Slowly suffocating, not being able to breathe, a foe's stamina is decreased by 100 points whilst in this zone, and staying inside for 2 posts or longer will cause him to pass out. Staying inside another post will mean death. Wind Spirit bonus: When attempting to leave the zone, the user is able to cause the winds at the very edge of the zone to cut enemies that are trying to pass through. Training: 700 Cost: 100 Mana; 10 Mana per post upkeep Duration: 4 posts Cooldown: 4 posts
Name: Spirit Arts: Hurricane Cloak Class: 2 Type: Mana Sub-Type: Hybrid Specialties: Elemental – Wind, Water Availability: By Request Requirements: Control (800) Description: This is a technique that requires an affinity for Water Magic as well as a proficiency in Wind Magic. Primarily, the user will begin to gather winds around his body at a rapid rate, causing strong wind speeds equal to 10% of his Control Stat in kilometers to envelop a range equal to 5% of his Control Stat in meters. This will draw things towards his body, although forcibly moving them around it, not allowing projectiles to hit, no matter if they are bullets or arrows. Additionally, this technique will begin to draw moisture from the air and the surroundings in its indicated range, even drawing in water under enemy control, given the enemy has a control stat lower than the on necessary for this technique. From the air, from puddles, seas, lakes and even plants and the earth, water will begin to surround the user's storm cloaked body. These streaks of water are then formed into thin threads that alongside the wind that is continuously circulating the user allow for immense cutting potential from a multitude of directions. Although predictable, the closer an opponent gets to the user, the more likely they are that they will be cut. Coming into the direct vicinity of the user during this technique's activation period will definitely allow the streaks of wind and threads of water to reach the enemy. Wind Spirit bonus: The circulating winds will automatically cut if someone should get into a range of 30 meters or closer. In 30 meters distance, every 3rd post will be a definite cut, in 20 meters vicinity, every second post will have a definite cut, in 10 meters distance the opponent will be cut every post. Any closer than 5 meters and an opponent will receive consistent damage. Training: 500 Cost: 100 Mana, 10 Mana per post upkeep Duration: 6 posts Cooldown: 5 posts
Name: Spirit Arts: Constriction Gale Class: 2 Type: Mana Sub-Type: Offensive Specialties: Elemental – Wind Availability: Open Requirements: Control (1000) Description: This is a simple technique in which the user creates a tornado with a clap of his hands. This tornado can be directed in a range equal to 10% of his Control Stat in meters, and moves at a speed equal to 50% of his Control Stat translated into a Speed Stat. This tornado has a 10 meter radius, can however be constricted to extreme limits raising its speed 2 meters it is constricted giving a 10% addition on the initial 50% speed calculation. Anyone or anything caught inside the Tornado will receive incredible damage next to being caught up and blown in the air. People with Strength higher than the user's Control Stat however, are able to resist being picked up from the ground, still receive the damage from this technique though. Wind Spirit bonus: Even the surrounding winds in an additional 5 meter radius around the tornado are able to cut and slice foes, catching people off guard who think they are safe as long as outside the initial range of the technique. Being in a 10 meter radius also draws opponents in, reducing their speed by 5% for every meter they are in range of the tornado. Training: 650 Cost: 100 Mana – 10 Mana per post upkeep Duration: 6 posts Cooldown: 4 posts
Name: Blade Arts: Unlimited Class: 2 Type: Mana Sub-Type: Hybrid Specialties: Swordsmanship; Elemental – Metal, Wind Availability: By Request Requirements: Control (1300); Multitasking Description: This is one of the strongest abilities in the array of Milos's Blade Arts style. The technique is called Unlimited for a reason, because Milos is able to create and control blades continuously without needing a break in between. The spell itself is the simple ability to create blades and then manipulate them at an insane rate. However, the specialty in this spell lies not in the number of blades or the speed at which they can be controlled. No, it lies in the distribution of the mana cost and the disbursement of the bodily strain of this technique. Milos can continually create average blades on a whim with up to 5 in a single post. He can then go on to control up to a number of blades equal to 1% of his Control Stat simultaneously. Should a blade break, he can simply recreate ones. He can also simple drop ones that are not broken and keep up the consistent creation of new blades. This allows for an incredibly rapid combat that not many can keep up with. The blades move at maximally his Control Stat translated into a Speed Stat. The range in which he can control them is 5% of his Control Stat in meters. Of course, an opponent can get hold of created blades that are not under Milos's direct influence and use them against him. Training: 700 words Cost: 100 initial cost, 10 mana per post upkeep Duration: 10 posts Cooldown: 5 posts
- Class 1:
Name: Spirit Arts: Tempest Class: 1 Type: Mana Sub-Type: Offensive Specialties: Elemental – Wind Availability: By Request Requirements: Control (1300); Mana (600); Wind Spirit Origin Description: The most devastating technique in Milos's repertoire. It is a spirit arts that requires high concentration to summon, but once summoned is completely self-working with the possibility of being influenced by the user. By focusing on distributing mana evenly in a large radius around the user, and consistently moving it in a circular, nearly rhythmical motion around your body, soon, a tornado will be called up that once started, will begin to move on its on, reaching several dozen knots in the beginning, going up to several hundred towards the peak of its speed. This full on small-scale hurricane has a range of 10% of the user's Control Stat. It can move at max speeds equal to the user's Control Stat translated into Speed. The eye of the storm is only in the very center of the tornado with a 5 meter diameter. Once caught in the storm, it will become difficult to see, all foes speed stats are reduced by 30% (for people with Elemental Mastery equal to the user's and the Wind Element this is reduced to 20%, for people with the Wind Spirit Origin this is reduced to 10%). The casting range of this techniqe is equal to the user's Control Stat in meters. This technique is the one that has made Milos feared amongst the Auran military, as he could wipe out entire armies with this alone. The duration of this hurricane is limited by itself. As hurricanes can move over landmasses for days, they are usually the size of entire countries. As this is a replica on a smaller scale, it usually dies down after 10 posts. Wind Spirit Bonus: Wind Spirit Origin allows for this Hurricane to deal consistent damage, dealing rending flesh wounds every post adversaries stay in its range. Training: 1200 words Cost: 200 mana: 20 mana per post upkeep Duration: 10 posts Cooldown: 8 posts Inventory: - Spoiler:
Name: Mavrós Type: Four Body-Linked Blades Specialties: Inscription (100); Swordsmanship (125); Medical (125); Enchantment (75) Appearance: - Spoiler:
This is likely one of the most unique swords to ever exist. Four large, around 1,20 meters long, 15 cm wide, and 2-3 cm thick blades that are attached to black chains that link entirely to the back of the user. None of the blades have guards. They are thick in their centers and sharp on the rounded edges that run to the tip. The chains that are attached to the blades have the same color and sharp edges as well. They have a concertina-like structure and can be lengthened and shortened. The flat parts of the blades and chains are black in color and the edges of the blade have a steel blueish look to them. Class: 1 Special Abilities: This sword is not able to be wielded like any regular sword, nor is it able to be carried like any regular shaped blade. This sword must be inscribed upon the user's body. An intricate seal using Barakan symbols pertaining to the sustain and creation of metal, the entirety of the blade is sealed into a body. Using medical knowledge, Elven Runes are imprinted upon the seal to ensure that the body doesn't reject the blade and thus, it is attached to the user that goes beyond a magical attachment. To utilize this blade to its full extent, it needs a physical attachment with the user. Thus, this blade functions like limbs of the user, sealed into the back of him. - Image of the Seal:
As said, these blades are inscribed directly into the user's body. Their entire size is sealed into him. They require extensive training and understanding of their composition to not be rejected by the user, even with the medical Runes. At last, once the user has been able to master these blades, they are able to be wielded like limbs. True extensions of the body. An understanding that a sword admirer would be able to reach. Their size, weight and entire make-up are sealed into the user's body, thus not being heavy in the slightest. After extensive training with these blades, the user even forms muscles surrounding the seal to ensure that they can be weilded freely, like arms and legs. Without them having weight, this is entirely possible. And after just a while, someone is able to even extend and retract the chains that enter the seal on the user's back. These chains can grow up to 1% of the user's Control Stat and move at the user's speed, as they are essentially just like limbs composed out of metal. Although swordsmanship is much more natural and accurate than any blade that is wielded in the hand, there is a price at which this comes. The user hurts if the blade should be damaged. Cracked, torn, ripped, shredded, broken. Anything that could happen to it would mean pain for the owner. Something that stems from the physical connection between blade and user. Unsealing and sealing this blade functions like a muscle however and happens at a faster rate than someone could sheathe or unsheathe his weapon. Lastly, the blades are also able to be healed through regular healing magic thanks again, to the physical connection. Origin: The sword is an extension of the body. That was the first thing Milos was taught in Terra when he received his first lesson from the female Amani swordmaster. It was a foreign concept to him. How could an object be a part of your own body? But after seeing the elegance and grace with which a sword was able to be guided, that he was so impressed by in the first place, he didn't doubt the swordmaster's words. In the end, he was but a student. Continuously investing into swordsmanship and theory of wielding a blade, Milos became a true swordmaster in the end as well. But something bugged him. Wielding a sword like a part of your body seemed like the appropriate understanding of the blade, but you could neither feel it, nor make it move on its. Although in philosophy it was a nice concept, it didn't stick right with the young Elf. After his return and following years of practice, Milos came up with a design and a method upon discovering Inscription Magic that allowed the user to seal objects inside his own body. As soon as he had comprehended the details, it was clear to the Prince what he was to do next. To create a blade that was truly a part of his body. A sword, that he didn't need to hold in his hand. Something he could direct like a limb, something he could feel, something that wouldn't be able to fall out of his grasp. An innate sword. And after years of research, in a few years where peace had finally entered Auran, the Prince dared to create a sword with the help of the best smiths and mages in the entire country. A sword, so unique that it would baffle all those who would lay their eyes upon it. Upon completion, Milos then felt like a true, complete swordsman. He had made a sword truly part of his body, he had made a philosophy reality. And he would shake the world with this newly acquired blade. Materials used: The edge of the blades and chains are comprised of Valorite, and the flat centers are a mixture of Valorite and Shadow Irite, with a much larger amount of Shadow Irite making for its unique color. The blades are much thicker than that of any regular sword, making it that much harder to break through. Requirements: This sword must be inscribed upon the user's body, sealing it in him. There is no other way to possess this sword. It would be a lump of blade and chains if it were to be extracted from an inscribed body, unusable because of its unique form. Availability: There is only one of these swords in existence at the moment. But the blueprints still exist and a second one could be forged at any time, given there are people skilled enough to make the blade once more and imprint it upon a body. | Past Information History: - The Godchild:
Miracles, in this world, are defined as phenomena that seem inexplicable by the laws of nature and thus, are ascribed to a supernatural origin. As if the gods themselves would be interfering with the meddling of mortals. It can be debated whether or not the things that are dubbed as miracles can or can not be explained through the laws of nature, especially since magic is one of the most advanced and complex spectrum of nature that any race was ever allowed to lay eyes upon. Many skeptics believe that nothing is impossible as long as you invest your mind enough into the arcane realms. But would the defeat of certain death and the granting of life not be considered a miracle just because gods have the ability? Questions, that this one case can not answer either but may serve to formulate a decision of belief. In the spring of 76 AE, the events of a stormy spring night were later described as a miraculous touch of god.
After Andros Auran the second, king of the Elvish realm during their years of conquest lost hold of many wars, the Elves were led into an age that the modern citizen of Auran would call the “Age of Seclusion”. During this time, the Elves capitulated and retreated into their own territories forfeiting all land not directly situated on their continent and called out a time of cautiousness. In the following century, Elves stayed inside the borders and refrained from ever going outside. Andros Auran the second bore three children: Andros Auran the third, his first son, Paros Auran, his second son, and Icaria Auran, his first daughter. After the premature death of his first son however, the second son of Andros Auran, Paros Auran came to take over the throne once his father died in 65 AE and still today holds the title of King of Auran. In an act of blind obedience following the death of the former king, Paros Auran pursued the same policies of his father, taking care that Auran diplomacy, economic trade and cultural exchange were near to non-existent. Now, this story begins on the night on which Paros Auran's first child was supposed to be born.
It was a stormy night, and the prognosis for the survival of his very first offspring had been extremely grim. Not only that, but it seemed as if the condition of Paros's wife, who's body was naturally weak, also promised a death during birth. And although the most gifted healers of the country had taken to their care, nothing had any positive effects and the future seemed to hold nothing but despair. Little did the doctors as well as the royal couple know that they were about to witness ancient powers, that had been long forgotten by the Elven people, taking action in the womb of the king's wife. Once it was time to bare the child and the queen's water broke the child did not seem to come out. Whilst the queen writhed in pain, the doctors decided that the only way to at least save the child was to prepare a new method of childbirth from the Ignian kingdom, called a Caesarean section in which the mother's belly would be cut open and the baby delivered directly from the stomach. However, no amount of healing magic was able to ensure that the wound would not be fatal, as none of the doctors had ever practiced such a complex method of childbirth.
After the mother's consent and reluctant agreement of the king, the operation was prepared and immediately carried out. After only a few minutes of careful analysis, a brave voluntary who had theoretically studied this method of childbirth executed the cut. After properly opening the mother's belly, watching the naturally weak body of hers slowly fading away, the miracle that nobody in that room that night would ever forget took its course. Just as the doctor was about to extract the bare child's body, a white light began to envelop both him and his mother's stomach. Not knowing what to do and what was happening, the doctor with as much care as possible pulled the baby out of its mothers womb, holding the glowing child in his hands. And whilst it seemed as if the queen was just about to pass from the living, her hair grew white as snow and slowly but surely, began to regenerate in a spiral of feathers. Her heart slowly began to beat regularly again, her pulse returned and her breathing took a turn for the better. And as the just born child, full of blood and guts seemed to be sleeping, his hair also turned white and his eyes softly opened. Without necessary medical intervention, the umbilical chord simply dissipated. And on that night, Milos Auran, the first son of Paros Auran was born. He would go on to be nicknamed “The Godchild” by witnesses.
After rehabilitation of both the mother, Mykene Auran and himself, the childhood of Milos continued in a relatively unspectacular manner. Unspectacular, because Mykene developed such a strong bond between herself and her child that she became the archetype of an overbearing mother. She carried him around wherever she went and there was not a soul but herself that was allowed to touch the infant. She began to center her entire life around Milos. This entire drive was strengthened by the child's incredibly weak body, likely inherited from his mother, which the doctors came to assume as a reason for the difficult birthing circumstances. As such, Mykene withdrew from public life and became a full time mother. A situation in which her own husband developed a subconscious envy of Milos that he still carries around today. The Elven mother began to homeschool him as soon as he reached appropriate age and ensured that he was taught in the fields of culture and the arcane, rather than the art of war or the way of the sword.
However, there was something she hadn't reckoned with: Milos himself. The young boy's spirit bloomed at tender age of 4 in which he already incepted to ask profound questions of life. He was seemingly blessed with an intellect that fueled his mother's pride only more. Trying to explain all the facets of life the young boy was so interested in, Myekene found herself embarking to fill in the gaps of her own education and thus learning more as the days went by. And so did the Prince of Auran. He soon found himself willing to explore the world his mother had taught him so much about. He wished to see people and places instead of constantly sitting around the castle of Megaloprepiis and not gaining practical experience. During these thoughts he was a mere 6 years old, which, even for the intellectual standards of the Elvish people, far exceeded any expectations. And whilst he was sitting inside the castle, learning what the world was about he had occupied his mother for himself and left the king to deal with all of the internal, political conflicts that arose, during something he would soon learn to call the “Age of Seclusion”, alone.
- The Age of Seclusion:
Once he reached the age of 8, Paros openly protested that Mykene nurture and foster the young boy any further. He would have to need to learn politics, the art of war and the traditions of the Elvish people soon, or he wouldn't be able to be a fitting prince, nor a fitting king. The fight over the future of Milos sparked a marital conflict that has not settled until today, and in fact has gotten much worse, to the point that the king and queen reside in different parts of the castle and only see each other during public events. But during the currently described times, the two had just begun to create a chasm between the two, with Milos walking over to his mother's side without hesitation. Paros, who blamed bias and constant, unnecessarily excessive mothering of a boy who needed to learn the world's hardships to understand his place and future, found himself turned away from. Something that would turn him into a miserable, grim king who would come to have little sympathy for anyone besides himself.
Whatever the case with his father however, Mykene was pressured into tolerating Elven tutors taking care of Milos and teaching him the history of the Elvish people. And after a year of lessons, they had arrived at the “Age of Seclusion”. The time in which Auran was currently in. That was the beginning of Milos' rebellion against his father's rule. He quickly asked why nobody proposed solutions to reclaim the Elvish supremacy in Sosaria. He was answered with half-hearted, beaten-around-the-bush arguments as to why the Elven tradition of praying to the Fallen and keeping to nature in silence had ever since been the best solution for Auran, and the years of conquest and oppression were just remedies against false hopes of achieving more than subservience on their own.
It took Milos a mere three years to carefully pick apart and analyze all of the history of Sosaria in both political and factual aspects. And the result he came to was that the current state of Auran was worse than anything that had been before. In the following three years, he promised his mother to never stop practicing her teachings and to daily progress his magical studies in several fields. A word he held as he showed exceptional results in nearly all aspects of Wind Magic as well as being able to alter Fire, Wind and Earth in a remarkable fashion for his age. Only later, he would find out that he had been blessed by the Elvish Wind spirits. However, the promises he made came to the price of accepting his father's proposed studies of military politics and monarchical economics. Paros gave him into the hands of gifted educators renown throughout Auran who attempted to present the boy, who was supposedly not maturing like normal Elven youngsters as he never grew in the intervals predicted for Elven boys, with an education of all of Auran's politics to understand and continue them as a member of the royal family.
But just as he had promised his mother, he never stopped to practice what she had taught him. Namely that he was very well capable to think for himself, and that Milos would soon be able to decide what was best for himself. He swould not let himself get controlled by his father. And Milos broke through all of the delusional hopes and dreams Paros held for him at the age of 16. It was a time in which he had visited several parts of Auran, conversed with people, presented himself as the prince and made consistent public appearances. It was experience after which he understood what harm the Age of Seclusion had brought to Auran. None of the textbooks' descriptions about the superior Elven intellect were true.
The modern Elf had been dumbed down to follow the royal word like a sheep. The Elvish people had not reached supremacy, but blindly followed traditions of hailing to the True Sosarians and simply appreciating nature instead of thinking about the why or when, the origin and the resumption. In his historical studies it was said that the Elvish people have profound philosophical thoughts at very young ages, something that has always allowed them to intellectually stand above most other races. But it was all proven false before Milos. However, he had been told that Elves outside of Auran existed. That Auran wasn't all. That it was just one of many kingdoms, many continents and many places. And those teachings, the teachings of his own mother, were the cornerstones of his following years.
- The Journey to Ignia:
It was another stormy spring night in which he professed his decision to venture outside of Auran. To explore the world and relay his duties as the prince until his non-determinable date of return. Something his father vehemently opposed, to the point of threatening to expel him from the royal family should he lay down his duties as the prince and take on a journey by himself. Milos however stood strong, stronger than his father could scold back down. Something his mother was proud of, which she expressed with absolutely no interference during their dispute. She had accepted that Milos was ready to spread his wings. Although reluctantly, she trusted that fate had blessed him and that the same spirits that granted them both a second life on the night of his birth would always be watching over him. There was only a single speck of motherly doubt in her that would carry worry in her heart until the day Milos returned.
Thus, he packed his bags and set foot out of Megaloprepiis that same night. Whilst his father commanded his soldiers to catch Milos and put him into supervision, it was much too easy for a young boy who knew his home-city better than himself to evade a group of confused knights that didn't exactly know how to deal with such a royal family conflict. And as someone who had learned how to get around during his travels through Auran, Milos quickly found himself at the northernmost seaport of Akro. The gate that would let him travel onwards and outside of his home. And soon, he was on a ship with several other Elves as well as other-racial citizens of Auran on the way to Ignia. Already interested in talking to humans, Amani and Elin that were all found on the gigantic passenger vessel, he began to discover just how idiotic and dumbed down the Elven suppression of other-cultural influence had been. All enforced by his own father, the king of Auran. Milos quickly understood that to truly experience what it meant to be part of Sosaria he needed to keep his royalty a secret. And that was just the start of his realization of the world's injustices.
The first destination for Milos was the southern coast of Ignia. The human kingdom. A race of people he had read so much about. And although some of them crossed his path on his journeys through Auran, there was no comparison to seeing, touching and interacting with them. They were a proud race. Their appearance was somewhat unappealing to Milos, but their skills, their talent and their adaptability spoke so much about them. During the start of his time in Ignia, there were many positive experiences. Although most of the humans seemed only interested in profit, always more concerned about practicality than aesthetics, especially evident in the fact that as long as he payed enough money, the never asked about his appearance or cared that he was Elven. But Milos didn't mind because results were more than often desirable and seemed unexpectedly sophisticated. Tasks and professions as simple as waiting tables, basic carpentering and even the education of children were all structured, simple and achieved the desired results. And he knew, those were just the smallest of villages. Milos saw peace and progress being made on the lowest denominator, that of the population. That day he learned, humans that are not taught to experience important questions of existence are a rarity. Even the common citizen had some sort of understanding that reason was not found in false gods or religion.
And as Milos moved from the outer borders of Ignia towards the urban villages in which the economy and life was in high spirits, he started to understand that the nature of humans had an origin. They were people who dreamed about fulfillment out of purpose. It seemed as if they were convinced that the only reason to life was the reason they themselves made of it. As such, the government of Ignia was one that allowed for privatization of business and encouraged a free market in which only those with fast wits and a pint of luck were allowed to go to the places they dreamed of. Perhaps it was because of their shorter lifespan or their incredibly emotional nature, but the concept of living only for yourself in first place seemed foreign to the young Elg. Whilst he was able to appreciate the positive aspects this way of leading a kingdom, it wouldn't be long until he would see the dark side of the agenda.
The military of Ignia was strong, but Milos soon learned about crime. It was the first time he had as crime in Auran was nearly non-existent, something which he later understood. It was not in the nature of the common Elf to succumb and commit to evil for the sake of oneself or even just for the sake of evil. This likely related to the human being staying so practical and the Elves striving for aesthetics. But humans were able to be so egocentric that they sometimes attempted to undergo the ways of Ignian laws to bypass consensual regulations thus placing themselves above others through unjust methods. Just as he had reached the age of 18, Milos experienced this first hand. Whilst residing Flammeum, the capital of Ignia, Milos managed to draw the attention of human slave traders, primarily focused on the capturing of Elin and Elvish beauties. It was an experience that still sends shivers down Milos' spine today. The moment a group of humans had surrounded him and managed to seal his magic, he experienced the weakness of his body for the first time in its full extent. Not able to fight back effectively, he was taken over and sent through the gloomier regions of Flammeum, to quickly be transported north.
During that time, he met several Elven and Elin slaves. Asking them, what this was supposed to be about, they answered that once they would be transported into a city somewhere off on the east coast and likely shipped to an island to serve as objects on a slave auction, and that such organized crime was common in Ignia, Terra and just about all neutral regions. People would pay a lot for Elves that mirrored beauty. It didn't take long until comprehension of the concept of slave trade reached Milos. But he wouldn't have it. He had not promised his mother to continue to foster the studies of magic for naught. And it was high time he proved it. Already having mastered all of the elements during that time and having made progress in both the medical field as well as the field of Inscription, Milos was able to evade all restraints placed onto his body quite easily. He had been located in a caravan, likely disguised as transporting other goods whilst actually ensuring the slaves to fly past the eyes of the knights, which Milos had understood to be the enforcers of law in Ignia. His skills having been completely underestimated, he quickly broke free and destroyed the entire caravan letting the rest of kidnapees go free.
That evening he was invited to rehabilitate in a nearby town consistent of almost only Elves. Declining, and quickly finding out where the caravan was supposed to lead to, Milos wished to investigate the matter of crime a little further, despite the warnings he received from the people he had freed. With faith in his abilities however, he decided to follow the path of injustice he had witnessed. After months of attempting to convince knights around the area he was told the headquarters were supposed to be, he decided to simply dig everything out himself. Following trails of thieves, rapists and robbers that he picked up off the streets at nights, he was able to find a group of men in an offside part of the town he had resided in. With forces of about 50 men, they attempted to subdue him. Alongside the leader of the Ignian slave trade they even succeeded in harming Milos to an extent, in which the same event as on the night of his birth reoccurred.
With his hair turning white, his wounds closing and his health regenerating, Milos witnessed this state of being with a conscious mind for the first time. Baffled, and admittedly confused but quick to act, he used this state in which he was able to keep on fighting regardless of the amount of damage that was inflicted upon him, which lead to the destruction of the entire organization and all of its men. Soon after, he reported the incident to the next best knight without mentioning his interference. At the age of 19, he then decided to leave Ignia behind and move northwards in an attempt to find a Baraka that was able to explain the curious condition he had witnessed during the fight with the slave traders. Having experienced enforcers of the law who didn't want to end extremely dangerous criminals because it was more profitable to pick the henchmen up, human criminals that had taken to bypassing the jurisdictions of their own kingdoms, having witnessed the heart and strength of the common human, Milos went on his way with mixed feelings, something unusual as he had never experienced controversy in a measure where it affected him personally.
- The Hermit and the Elf:
The human economy and the free Aquaran societies made it easy for Milos to venture into the north. The Barakan people were wisemen and scholars all around. They were neither known for their arcane mastery, their combative strength or their military proficiency. He had read that although the Barakans weren't weak, they had an incredibly pacifistic philosophy that professed complete non-aggression and passiveness in all aspects of life. After asking around in some of the provinces if there was a Barakan professor on medical conditions he was directed towards a hermit who lived in the mountains and was much older and wiser than many of the kingdom's politicians or professional scholars. Moving through the cold flatland of the northern continent, Milos found himself fighting for survival more often than not. The kingdom was a sparsely urbanized region surrounded by a harsh environment. It was here, that Milos decided to cast away all of his luggage that was more than he actually needed to survive. Wrapping himself in bandages and inscribing fire magic onto them, he kept himself warm, and wearing a cloak that was inscribed with wind magic and helped him traverse the cold storms, Milos finally made it to the Barakan hermit who went by the name Dreyfus.
Upon meeting him, the old Barakan seemed surprised to see such a small Elf knock on his doorstep. After a long introduction however, even finding out the true heritage and the condition and circumstances in which the child-like Elf achieved his state of incredible regeneration, Dreyfus quickly became interested in the boy's story. Introducing Milos to his way of living in complete neutrality and symbiosis with the world around him, it didn't take long for him to see that the young Elf was somewhat confused and appalled by such a heartless and lazy minded path of existence. However, wanting to show that he was understanding the reason and practice wrong, Dreyfus promised Milos to discuss his condition if he would let him show something. Climbing the eastern mountain regions for a few days, they arrived at a valley in which a dragon lived. Astounded and struck with awe at the view of the beast soaring over his territory, Dreyfus thought that he convinced the young Elf of the reason why nature was something his people had venerated so much in the past and why he has chosen to live in harmony with it.
Camping at the border of the valley, watching the dragon go about its daily routine, Milos started to understand the Barakan's words to some extent. However, 3 days after arrival, it happened that the dragon flew out of the valley. Asking where it was going, Dreyfus also agreed to show the young Elf this facet of nature. Tracing the dragon's route, they came upon a village not far from the wyvern's hiding spot. Immediately calling to arms, Milos urged Dreyfus to come along with him and help the village. To Milos's surprise, the Barakan declined. He stated, that his commitment to the idea of not interfering with the cycle of nature and life was honest. Running off with a grudge, Milos went to face the dragon alone in the hope to at least save some of the villagers. It had swooped down into the streets to feast, apparently seeing the community of several races as nothing more than a quick meal. Using all of his might to face the dragon and to scare it off, it lead to Milos realizing how great some forces in Sosaria had the potential to be. Managing to save a few villagers using his body as a shield, he was soon hailed as a savior. Retaining the x-shaped scar on his sternum during this fight, Milos left in displeasure and anger at the Barakan hermit.
Returning to Dreyfus's territory after rejuvenating in the town, he demanded of him to fulfill his promise. Obliging and sticking to his word, Dreyfus listened to Elf's story in detail. After recounting many years of ancient Elven medical history, Dreyfus came to the conclusion that the state Milos slid into whenever facing death was a manifestation of the ancient Druid bloodline among the Elves, that apparently had been activated in his generation. Dreyfus then went on to recommend a certain Elin doctor living in the north of Gelu, who supposedly knew more about medical history than him as he specialized in that field. Whilst Milos had gotten what he wanted, he wasn't finished in Aquar. Since the word of mouth had told him that Dreyfus was a master of magical inscription and enchantments, he went on to ask him to teach him what he knew. A declining of that request would have been surprising to anyone as the Barakan people all believe in the passing on of knowledge to the next generation, regardless of race, gender or heritage. And as such, Milos stayed for a couple more months studying ancient runic language and the Inscriptions of Sosaria.
After taking his leave, Milos headed north to find the next best harbor to sail east across the great oceans. It took him a few weeks until he arrived in a town big enough to attempt such a dangerous journey. Having doubtful prospects, but seeing the necessity in this trip, Milos made use of his newly found skills in Inscription alongside his by now mastered art of wind magic to promise an acceleration of the ride if he were to be let on. Inscribing the sails with wind magic to accelerate faster during calm seas, they managed to plant their anchor in a months time before the coast of Gelu thanks to the young Elf's talents. Satisfied that he was able to keep his promises and having made some acquaintances on the way, he found out that the Elin group of travelers had their home in Aquar but would be staying here for at least another year, and that if Milos would want to return to Aquar alongside them, he was welcome to. Marking that in the back of his head, he then headed northwards into the snowy regions to find this medical professor.
- The Blood of the Past and the Blade of Tomorrow:
Wandering through miles of bone-chilling cold storms and over dozens of layers of ice, more than Milos thought he would ever see in his life, he experienced an agony that would follow him through all of his years, even past the end of his journey. The agony of nearly freezing to death. It was when a pack of snow wolves pounced him during a nightly camp thought to be uninhabited. The drained and weak Elf wasn't healthy enough to fight back and escaped falling pray to them. Although he had his unique condition in the back of his head, it was instinct to evade his hunters. Having to leave behind all of his supplies he kept on wading through the ice plains without destination. At some point, he passed out in the snow. Lying there for a while as the creeping death slowly enveloped his body, it happened again that he woke up, finding himself with a warmth wrapping around his heart, white hair and a completely regenerated body.
Carrying himself far from that point on, Milos arrived at a small village in which he promptly lost all his strength again. There, he was taken in and cared for. The Elin tribe had never seen an Elf before and thus treated him with respect and care. Too much care as Milos though. No one went too close to him or dared to anger him. They were a simple minded folk, more similar to uncivilized savages than anything else. But there was no place to let his personal opinion get involved. He was thankful enough that they had taken him in and saved him from an inevitable fate. He was sure that if he had gone on any longer there would have been a point where not even this Druid blood could have saved him. Trying to get someone to speak to him, it took a while until the tribesmen understood that he was an outsider, going even past the borders of Gelu. It was then, that an Elin with an unusually modern appearance was brought to him. A large bipedal lion that even wore glasses over his proportionally small eyes. He was wearing a large winter coat, with completely civil wardrobe underneath. He was one that spoke Milos' language, and after telling him the reason why he was there, it turned out that the fashionably dressed Elin was the very person Milos had been looking for.
Satisfied that lady luck had been on his side once more, he ventured with the male lion Elin into a station even further north than the village they had been residing at. The lion explained that he had made friends with the tribe to be able to study in peace without being disturbed much, and that he was studying the herbs and other flora of this region that grew despite the environment and thus usually had rare and interesting properties, more often than not being true medicinal discoveries. The Elin's name was Tsume. Leaving his surname unnamed, Milos did the same and only spoke his first name, revealing that he was from Auran. Something Tsume found unnaturally suspicious. Although he seemed like a welcoming, respectable person, it took the young Elf some time to understand that was a scientist. He was naturally skeptical. Since the Elin doctor was unable to instantlytake care of Milos directly however, they had enough time to get accustomed to each other. A bonus for sympathy was that Milos had known Dreyfus, the Barakan hermit, which led Tsume to tolerate his unique appearance on first contact.
After a few days of completed research, the doctor was then ready to speak to Milos. Repeating the original explanation of the Barakan hermit, Tsume was confused at first, because the only time he had read about Druids was in a book on the Elven evolution. Not wanting to leave a friend of Dreyfus hanging however, he went and reiterated in some of his books. After inquiry and a blood test, Tsume made a grave discovery. The Druids, as they were called by the more ancient populations were a streak of Elven heritage that led back to times before first contact with Sosarians. It turned out that these Druids possessed immense healing powers and a special genetic make-up that was just discovered some years ago by Ignian scientists who had unveiled a pile of Elven remains somewhere off the coast of Ventus. Unveiling the same uniqueness in Milos's blood, he explained to the young Elf that the reason his body was so weak was because the Druids were a sub-race of Elves that resulted from years of seclusion and meditation, thus increasing their connection with magic and resulting in immense healing powers. And apparently, ever since the unprecedented extinction of the Druids, they had ensured that their abilities were carried on through the Elven race. Ultimately, Milos was just part of the generation on whom the active genes fell.
Although satisfied, Milos was somewhat beat as he was a descendant of a people that had done exactly the same as the Barakan hermit. Lived in seclusion all their lives ignoring the future of their species. In the following years, Milos would need to come to terms with his complete heritage. Something which was helped by his request to study medicine under Tsume, at least for another while. Allowing the interested Elf entrance into the lion's field of expertise, Milos spent another 3 months with the doctor until he packed his bags and left southwards. There was still 2 thirds of a year to be spent before his friends left for Aquar again. And thus, Milos spent a month traveling to Terra, the country of Amani. A race of extremely passionate people that honored fighting strength over intellect. To an extent, Milos had liked what he read about them in his textbooks. They seemed to understand the importance of racial pride and being a unified group that improved together rather than alone.
Milos's perspective of the Amani was quite positive. He crossed the mountainous border of Gelu to Terra with a sense of eagerness, wanting to see the race he had idolized as interesting, glorious and strong. Wandering through the provinces at first, it seemed as if the general populace struggled under the competitive nature of themselves. Something that dampened his happiness upon entering the first village. He witnessed many confrontations, some physical some mental. Even though it felt like the Amani were proud of themselves as a race, it appeared as if they were not proud of themselves as individuals. As if the exact issue of too much individualism that he by now vocally criticized about the human communities in Ignia was reversed here in Terra. As if the Amani didn't see the need for being at peace with themselves and instead took it out on each other, which not rarely resulted in brutish disputes that resembled the musings of children, rather than a proud warrior race.
It was during his travels through Terra that Milos also awakened an unexpected love for something he always thought to be somewhat brutish and uncivil in comparison to more classic Elvish weapons such as the bow or the staff. It was in a moment of compulsory beauty that he witnessed an female Amani swordmaster teach a class out in the open fields of a city near the east coast of Terra. Milos would continue to follow the coast down to Pratia to also see the most politically advanced country in Sosaria. However, currently being in Terra and walking past a sword teaching class, the young, still impressionable Elf was bedazzled by the elegance of form, structured lines and paths that the Amani teacher followed. As if a moving statue drawing a picture with the tip of her blade. Her form was nearly perfect. Although he had no collection of knowledge on swordfighting at that point he could tell that the person before him had transcended the realm of a normal blade-user. She didn't just use it, she seemed to be breathing the iron, capturing every curve of her sword with every heartbeat. From that point on, Milos would be on his way to become a swordmaster.
Inquiring constantly and persistently to enter the Terran sword-school, he was rejected on multiple occasions at first. Claiming than Elf was in no condition to study the Amani way of the blade, Milos was quite demotivated as he couldn't help but agree with her. The demonically appearing species wielded their weapons with muscular accuracy. Something that stood in contrast to the Elvish swordplay which concentrated on balancing the user out with the weapon to counteract and utilize its weight against the opponent, striking out of movement, rather than impulse. But Mavroh was so compelled to study under the female teacher that he wished to prove to her he was able to wield a blade just like an Amani. It took him several days to figure out a method how to wield a blade with enough strength to learn under his projected master. And he discovered a path. It was somewhat underhanded, but he didn't care. He could tolerate his deceit for the knowledge he would receive. Milos had discovered his affinity for the element of metal, and thus, instead of using his muscles to move the blade, he would use an inscription, sealing the control of magic into the blade and thus controlling its force and weight in such a fashion, that he would be able to strike with it at the same strength as any Amani. Of course, he had to pay attention not too strike with too much magical control to ensure that he wasn't found out.
Visibly surprised but accepting the young Elf's newfound proficiency, the teacher, who went by the name Lucia, began to teach Milos. Taking several months to train him, she was satisfied with the immense progress the Elf made. With unusual talent Milos learned quickly and graduated from her class after only 3 months. Satisfied with the current progress of his skill, Milos decided to continue his trail south along the eastern border of Terra. At some point, he arrived in Pratia, the land of the Trinity Council. It was a free country, blooming with wealth and freedom. It took Milos only a short while of observing the government to understand that the key of opening up to Sosaria and to end the Age of Seclusion back home was to enter the Trinity Council. For the years after his return, this goal would take the topmost priority in all of the Elf's dreams. And thus, Milos had decided that he had seen enough. Having visited all of the kingdoms, having seen things far out of the ordinary, he hasted back to Gelu to catch the people he arrived alongside. In only a short span of time, He was back on the western hemisphere and traveling southwards through Aquar and Ignia back to Auran. Not having noticed how fast the time had passed, Milos had hit the age of 24 by this time. 8 years had past since his leave.
- The Reclaim of a Kingdom & The Age of Progress:
As he approached the coast of Akro, he entered his home nation with doubt in his heart. Shrouded in hope, love, ideas and passion, there was doubt. He had endured all the hardships Sosaria had to offer. What was left, was proving that he had learned more than this belligerent father of his would ever be able to learn in all of his dull and plain mind. The moment his foot hit ground in Megaloprepiis he was fulfilled with a sense of fondness that he hadn't experienced so far. He asked himself if that was what home felt like. And it was exactly that, Milos had come home. Walking through the streets, his appearance from 8 years ago hadn't changed a bit. All but his facial expression relayed a much more serious, grim tone, but the citizens hadn't forgotten who he was. Astonished and partially disappointed by his return, he received calls of being weak and not belonging there. But his feet carried him before the castle and he called out to his father with all his might. At first, his mother came storming down and welcomed him with all the grace he remembered her by. She had changed. He could now see wrinkles where there weren't any 8 years ago. Her hair had grown longer, a sign of respect for the maturing Elf. Her stature had gotten meeker, as if she had eaten less in his time gone. With worry in his heart, he was about to speak to her when his father appeared.
Paros stepped out of the castle in anguish, a blade in his hand. Immediately dropping all of his belongings, Milos stood before his mother protecting her presence. Asking what the king would want with the sword, he received a spat out claim of executing orders that had been uttered at the time of his abandonment. That was the first time in his life that Milos became truly angry. With an impulsive motion he blasted his father away in a gust of wind. Confronting him with all of the failure that Milos had assessed during his time gone, holding the sum of the world's progress in front of the miserable king's eyes, asking him what he had done to even deserve to hold the throne. He was met with eyes frozen from fear, and silence. Silence, that would last, collapse into itself and hush before his presence. The young Elf that had left the kingdom 8 years ago was no more. Milos was now the Prince of Auran. He had reclaimed his former life in one fell swoop gusting his father off of his feet. Times would change from now on. Auran was facing a revolution.
From the day of his return Milos didn't rest, or talk about his trip. Only to his mother would he utter bits and pieces about the things he experienced and learned during his time away, even showing her the scar he received from fighting the dragon up in Aquar. But other than that, reconciliation of the past was not one of the prince's strengths. Taking action in several regards of Auran's internal affairs, he began implementing new curricula that he asked revised by academics who weren't part of the traditionalist movement, a political group of elders that desired to keep the seclusion of Auran. After appropriate edits were made by the assembled group of scholars, he removed all of the Elven elders from most fields of influence in the kingdom. Beginning to make jobs such as professor or knight of the military more appealing to younger Elves, he attempted to create a much larger market for those jobs to improve the primary Auranian condition of education and military. It only took a couple years until a visible change was able to seen. In that manner, the masses were able to be easily organized and treated with the new sources of information and unbiased knowledge. During this time, Milos consistently took to study all of the arts he had learned in his time away, never falling behind on his own improvement.
With the progression of his own skills came the idea to enter the military himself one day. Already an incredibly capable mage, he introduced himself to the high knights of Auran who had all already accepted him as the heir to the throne. Not surprised by the unorthodox request to enter the military part-time to both influence the leaders as well as train under them to keep a balance of power between the two forces of military and royalty, Milos was satisfied with all of the unchecked changes he was able to make and were promptly accepted through his status of prince. After 3 years of his return, Milos had renovated the image of Auranian internal politics. The silence of his father from the day of his return had not seized once. All of the influence Milos created went by the actual king like the wind.
After these years, revolutionizing both the education as well as the job market, causing an influx of new knights and mages into Auran, Milos decided that it was both time to begin connecting the different fields as well as balancing them out, laying a large focus on keeping the entire kingdom intuitively jointed together. Gathering a team of the most intellectual Elves he could find in the respective fields of economics, academics, military, resources, society and magic, Milos then began to completely reform the structure of Auran rule. Starting the “Cabinet of High Elves”, Milos created an institute for the most gifted politicians in the country. Under the combined rule of several High Elves, Auran succeeded in progressing further and further into fluctuation. The kingdom started to liven up. By this point, politicians stopped bothering to ask where the king was staying and why Milos had taken full responsibility for all of his father's duties. It was then, that he received the nickname “The Pioneer of Progress”. It was the first time in a century that someone had taken the initiative, that someone followed passion, strived for knowledge, attempted to make a change in the country without forcing violence upon the people. It was in this very state that another 2 years later, Milos would make an attempt to enter the Trinity Council and serve under it, ensuring Auran's protection in times of distress.
With the political support from the mightiest Elves in the country, the personal backing of his mother that had not once seized its effectiveness since his return, and a full majority of the Auranian population answering with a resounding yes to the proposal of entering the Trinity Council, the dealings never let up until another fateful day in the spring of 106 AE. The decree to accept Auran as a full ally of Pratia in exchange for the assistance of Elven troops and the sharing of resources was passed and the Prince of a reformed kingdom, for the first time exclaimed that the Age of Seclusion was coming to an end. From that moment on, the Cabinet of High Elves worked harder than ever before to coordinate peaceful approaches towards Pratia as well as Ignia. It seemed as if for the first time since a century, the Elves weren't searching for conflict.
But of course, things weren't as rosy as they were on the outside amongst the populace. Whilst the large majority was now in support of Milos and the political ways of the future, there was the small group of traditionalist Elves that started causing trouble. Only a year after the passing of the decree, rebels began to methodically wipe out military bases all over Auran and beginning to assassinate political figures. At this point, Milos' true test as a leader began. He had to calm his own people whilst ensuring the safety of all of the members of the Cabinet. Something which proved extremely difficult, as the traditionalist movement never seemed to let up. It didn't take long until it seemed as if they had began to be an organized faction actively working against the Auran form of government. Facing a discrepancy of extreme measure, the situation reached its boiling point the day a member of the Cabinet was assassinated.
Thus, Milos stopped seeing the traditionalist movement as a band of wailing group of elders that weren't comfortable with change and marked them as a terrorist organization that planned to destroy the political leadership of Auran. Wanting to prove to the world that Auran was capable of handling situations like these alone, Milos declined any help from the Trinity Council and moved to the frontlines himself coordinating military operations alongside the rest of the military high command. During a raid of a traditionalist hideout, it happened that an explosion and an attack out of the dark scratched Milos' right eye. Promptly pounding the entire compound into the ground, he received another nickname by the military, namely the “Iron Wind Elf”. In the offtime of leading a kingdom, Milos had progressed his own fighting capabilities so much, that he was currently one of the strongest military assets among the knights and mages of Auran's respected people. From then on, Milos started to systematically eradicate all traces of the traditionalist movement from the surface of Auran. Destroying entire battalions with his own hands, he never aimed to kill and more often than not deaths had to be marked off as casualties because his overpowering wind magic led to accidents. Overall, it took him 4 years to drive the rebellion, that nearly turned into a civil war on some occasions, into the ground.
In the following 2 years, Milos ensured that Auran was from then on, constantly militarized and the population as well as the knights of the kingdom worked as a united front against oppositions. With promises and positive results Milos was able to woo nearly the entire Elvish population to support the Cabinet and the idea of alliances with other nations. Starting to contact other political figures, it was the first time that diplomacy was an absolute necessity for all of the Elvish politicians. Racial pride and tolerance was taught to the new generation of Elves. And after having contact with multiple royals and leaders of the other kingdoms, Milos decided that it was time to prove the newly achieved stability of Auran in the spring of 14 AE. Opening all the borders, all races were free to come and go and learn the Elvish ways at their disposal.
- The Peace Before the Storm:
Times quieted down in the following 2 years. The political situation stabilized, the population turned happier and more satisfied as time went on, other nations were beginning to accept and tolerate Auran presence in their kingdoms, the Cabinet of High Elves and the Trinity Council came to better terms and it seemed as if the Age of Seclusion was finally over. Milos had become an adult in the time of progress, and as such he had fully matured. Whilst his appearance was all the same as 24 years ago when he left the kingdom, he had turned out to be one of the greatest leaders of Auran to ever exist. He had effectively rendered the king and his position useless through multiple decrees that Paros was too dull to properly counteract, and thus, royalty became but a figurehead. Milos would take to breeding smart heads at the top, true High Elves as they existed centuries before the times of conquest and conflict.
During these times, he was finally able to fully concentrate on his magical studies. Whilst he had survived and thrived on pure magic never letting up on training the sword manually when he got the chance, it was high time that he began developing and designing a true weapon for himself and bringing it to life with the most gifted Elven Artisans. What he designed took into account his teachings of inscription, his medical knowledge as well as his affinity for the earth and metals. He created an Elven sword that then had the potential to become a legend. Naming it Mávrós, after a historical group of extremely gifted Elven warriors, he then finally became the man whom Sosaria knows today. Milos Auran, the leader, the prodigy, the Elf who is blessed by fate. Godchild, pioneer of progress and using the iron wind of progress at his disposal. At the age of 40, he is not done changing Auran for the better and making improvements. Is the time of initial peace he created a lasting situation or will conflict break out again? Only the future can tell, but he is prepared to take any challenge head on. Family: Andros Auran II (grandfather); Deceased Klymene Auran (grandmother); Unknown Andros Auran III (uncle); Deceased Paros Auran (father); Alive (NPC) Mykene Auran (mother); Alive (NPC) Icaria Auran (aunt); Alive (NPC) Merhune Auran (uncle, related by marriage); Alive (NPC) There are too many members of the royal family spread all around Auran to be counted up. Here is the core of it though. Including all cousins, great-aunts, great-uncles, second cousins and third cousins would be complete insanity. Friends: Mujin Masoto (PC) - Acquaintance Roleplay Sample - Spoiler:
It had been a mere three months. Three months since the refoundation of Tartarus by the hands of Lyserg. Three months since he had taken the spot of a leader and completely restructured the guild in its entirety. He had come a long way, the actions he committed turned out to pave the way for all of his ideas and plans. All in all, his experience as a king and leader had allowed him to let the dogma of his leadership fall upon the members of the old Tartarus like a gentle touch.
The day he claimed the throne had been especially thunderous, even for a place befittingly called Thunder Island. Having been part of the guild for around a month, without allowing many to take note of his presence, Lyserg had silently studied the guild's records. He decided that it had potential. Potential, to become much greater than it was at that point in time. On the fateful day he announced his plans, the traditions and ideals of the old Tartarus received a decisive blow.
Simply slandering into the guildhall he claimed leadership with a speech, one which most witnesses that day will likely remember for their lifetimes. It had put an ultimatum for all of the members. Three choices were given. Run away right that instant, follow him, or be destroyed alongside the entire compound. The, at that time, small guild of only around 200 members had different reactions.
About 60 of the mages acknowledged his strength and decided to follow him. Around 50 of the Tartarus members left the guild for good. And the rest decided to fight. That night, he crushed the entirety of the building and payed no care to death or life of those inside. The only thing he left behind was a small communication lacrima amongst the rubble that connected to a personal one, he from then on consistently carried around. It was for returning members, those that wanted to become part of the new Tartarus.
Turning his back on the old guild, he then lead the small group of mages to a new destination. To the land of giant monsters and fearsome creatures. Fiorans called it Fat Monsterland. A disgusting name that earned many questionable stares. He simply requested faith in him. And none of those that had followed were disappointed when he presented them the old kingdom lying amidst the vast plane. The old kingdom, ancient and gigantic, let Lyserg and some of his followers fall in awe. It had been a long time since he had returned here. Back then, a kingdom of 60.000 citizens.
Claiming it in its entirety, he announced that it would provide the future guild grounds. From then on, he created a new structure, a new order and imprinted newly found ideals among the members. Creating three departments of profession, he had about 12 members recline into the science labs, about 24 people take part in the Intelligence program he presented and gave the rest the title of Arms Division. With that, the newly found order was established.
He presented them the different tasks that needed to be done, held speeches on creating relationships with other guilds and wanted to show the members who he was. He didn't want to be a distant man that seemed foreign to all those who put trust in him. Whilst even after three months not all have the amount of confidence in him that he requires for the entire guild to be of working nature, it is only a matter of time until they are the unified front Lyserg hopes for so deeply.
With the prospect of generals, Kings of Hades and other important jobs, the small member base slowly started to commit to him. Lyserg iworked restlessly and even glanced at the small communication lacrima in his pocket ever so often. For the returning members. For Tartarus, for the unity of all.
Because of the recent chain of events, Lyserg was currently in the laboratory doing some checkups on the first experiments that the scientists had began working on. They had to do with the synthesis of minerals for the upgrading of the outer walls. He knew that nowadays, chances were high for even the most insignificant of people to wield devastating powers. Not to mention the amount of armament the Magic Council held. Sitting at a desk and studying the research that had already been acquired, he was visibly impressed by the capability the assembled scientists possessed. At that moment, he felt the need to take out the small communication lacrima and take a look at it. The small white marble held a lot of Lyserg's hopes for the guild.

- Name: Multitasking
Class: 3 Type: Passive Description: Multitasking is a relatively basic ability that comes with sentience and awareness. Please either change the number 6 to 4 or change the class of the special ability to 2. - Quote :
- Name: Diplomatic Immunity
Class: 3 Type: Passive Description: Diplomatic Immunity is a special ability that is only active amongst a special species in Sosaria.
This seems iffy... But I'll allow it! - Quote :
- Name: Healing Arts: Element's Blessing
Class: 4 Type: Mana Sub-Type: Support Specialties: Medical; Elemental – Wind, Water Availability: Closed Requirements: Control (200); Blood of the Druid Medium Description: This is a unique and useful healing technique, enabled through the blood of the Druids flowing through the user's veins which boost healing effects. Training: 300 Cost: 10 Mana for every post this is active, can be toggled off and on at will For a class 4 technique this does too much and for too little. Activation cost should be equal to the standard cost for its class. Upkeep would then be 10 mana per post. A class 4 should not be able to instantaneously close deep flesh wounds plus regenerate 25 stamina per post. I'd say make it at least class 3 and change the mana cost. Also add a cooldown... I know it's not a class 2 or class 1 but it's regeneration. - Quote :
- Name: Blade Arts: Iron Hide
Class: 3 Type: Mana Sub-Type: Defensive Specialties: Elemental – Metal; Medical Availability: By Request Requirements: Control (1000); High knowledge of the body Description: This technique requires an extensive knowledge of the location and production of bodily carbon. Training: 500 Cost: 50 Mana,, 5 Mana per post upkeep. Raise the upkeep cost per post, please.~ - Quote :
- Name: Spirit Arts: Ignition Storm
Class: 3 Type: Mana Sub-Type: Offensive Specialties: Elemental – Wind, Fire; Inscription Availability: By Request Requirements: Control (800) Description: This is a technique that works in conjunction with Fire and Wind Magic. Simultaneously, he is able to create up to 20. These marbles, when coming into contact with something of a higher density than itself (which is anything harder than a pillow), they instantly explode in a 7 meter radius, creating high damage within a short span of time dealing burning damage. These marbles can be continuously created at a certain cost. Wind Spirit bonus: Upon impact, the encased wind is released and is able to cut targets in a 1 meter radius Training: 500 Cost: 5 Mana for every marble Set the mana cost to around 50. Make the maximum amount of marbles 5. This will count as a single usage of the technique. Too powerful for a single usage of the technique to produce 20 marbles at 5 mana each. Also include the degree of burn that it causes in burning damage. - Quote :
- Name: Spirit Arts: Hurricane Cloak
Class: 3 Type: Mana Sub-Type: Hybrid Specialties: Elemental – Wind, Water Availability: By Request Requirements: Control (800) Description: This is a technique that requires an affinity for Water Magic as well as a proficiency in Wind Magic. Training: 500 Cost: 50 Mana This should definitely be a class 2 and needs an upkeep cost, duration, and cooldown. - Quote :
- Name: Runic Arts: Weightlessness
Class: 3 Type: Mana Sub-Type: Support Specialties: Elemental – Earth, Wind; Inscription Availability: Open to anyone who has studied Elven Runes Requirements: Control (500) Description: This is a somewhat basic principle of Inscription magic. The user imprints a set of runes and symbols upon an object and forcibly seals its weight, simultaneously sealing a large amount of air into it, causing almost any large object composed of earth and metals to suddenly become near-weightless. Training: 400 Cost: 50 You can't 'seal' the weight of something. It just doesn't work that way. Energy and matter can be sealed. The force of gravity is not something that can simply be sealed. With that said, gravity manipulation itself should fall under Non Elemental. - Quote :
- Name: Spirit Arts: True Void
Class: 2 Type: Mana Sub-Type: Offensive Specialties: Elemental – Wind Availability: By Request Requirements: Control (1100) Description: This is an incredibly difficult wind technique that requires control before mastery over elements in every case. Training: 700 Cost: 100 Mana This definitely needs an upkeep cost, duration and cooldown. - Quote :
- Name: Spirit Arts: Constriction Gale
Class: 2 Type: Mana Sub-Type: Offensive Specialties: Elemental – Wind Availability: Open Requirements: Control (1000) Description: This is a simple technique in which the user creates a tornado with a clap of his hands. This tornado can be directed in a range equal to 10% of his Control Stat in meters, and moves at a speed equal to 50% of his control stat in kmh. Training: 650 Cost: 100 Mana – 10 Mana for constricting it – 5 Mana for changing its direction Please give this a set speed stat rather than a kmh speed. This also needs a upkeep cost if you want to use it for longer than a single post usage. It also needs a duration if that's the case. Either way, it definitely needs a cooldown. - Quote :
- Name: Blade Arts: Unlimited
Class: 2 Type: Mana Sub-Type: Hybrid Specialties: Swordsmanship; Elemental – Metal, Wind Availability: By Request Requirements: Control (1300); Multitasking Description: This is one of the strongest abilities in the array of Milos's Blade Arts style. He can then go on to control up to 20 blades simultaneously. Training: 700 words Cost: 80 initial cost, 10 mana per post upkeep Initial cost must be at least 100 mana. The upkeep cost needs to be higher. The maximum number of blades needs to be lower and relative to your control stat. Maybe the number of blades able to be controlled is equal to 10% of the user's control stat? This also needs a duration and cooldown. - Quote :
- Name: Spirit Arts: Tempest
Class: 1 Type: Mana Sub-Type: Offensive Specialties: Elemental – Wind Availability: By Request Requirements: Control (1300); Mana (600); Wind Spirit Origin Description: The most devastating technique in Milos's repertoire. The specialty of this tornado however, is that it can be cast as far as the user can see and its direction can be controlled by the user himself. Training: 1200 words Cost: 200 mana: 20 mana for changing its direction Replace the mana cost for changing its direction to an upkeep cost per post. Also add a cooldown. "The specialty of this tornado however, is that it can be cast as far as the user can see" - No. Give it a set limit other than as far as you can see. - Quote :
